I shouldn't really overlook the importance of associating with like-minded professionals. Customers that save and then invest a significant amount in new Kitchen cabinets are expecting, not only us, to perform up to high standards, but also every other trade that we refer them to, and / or any sub-contractor we hire to work in their home. Customers of mine returned to our showroom last week, having just visited our main granite-counter provider the previous day, based on my referral. They not only had a positive experience shopping for granite, but mentioned to me 2 or 3 times in our conversation, how impressed they were with how well they were treated there. It had only been a few days earlier that I had recommended that they go visit the granite fabricator and warehouse to get an idea of what was available.....and to see what colours and natural veining patterns may strike them as possibilities for their new Kitchen. So when they returned so quickly to brag of their grand experience, I asked them half-sarcastically, "Oh! So you went to the granite-shop already!??".....and they replied, "Well, Kevin, you said that we should go to your granite supplier....so we did!" They said it so matter-of-factly that it really made an impression on me. Our customers truly rely on us to sincerely help them and steer them in the right direction. Good to know!
