The second story in this home provided us with a unique opportunity to redesign the existing floor plans to better meet the needs of the new homeowners. Imagine the existing scenario: a square-ish upstairs bathroom meant to meet the everyday hygiene needs of the whole family, with a soaker tub, separate shower unit, vanity and toilet.

So far, there is no problem; perhaps not added convenience, but no problem. The master bedroom, however, has a windowless ensuite, with only a tiny vanity and toilet. Therein lies the problem. That’s where Timco Group came in; with the help of a great designer and our ability to think outside of the box and plan various renovation tasks within a home efficiently, we created a beautiful ensuite master bathroom with a custom-built, walk-in shower with high-polished ceramic tiles on the shower walls and a matching matte-finished tile laid with a herringbone pattern on the washroom floor. This bathroom also has a beautiful, custom-built, walnut vanity with two marble sinks. Not only is the new ensuite master bathroom more functional, it is aesthetically pleasing, bright and tranquil. As for the bathroom facilities for the remaining inhabitants of the second-floor, there is now a well-designed 3-piece bathroom made possible by the clever use of a pocket-door. It is a win-win all-around here!
